About The Author

Meet The Person Demystifying Religions...

Lauren Owens Galle


Lauren grew up in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. She lived there for seven years as a child and has firsthand knowledge of the culture.

As an adult, she studied Middle Eastern History at the King Fahd Center for Middle East Studies at the University of Arkansas. She received a Teaching Assistantship and a Graduate Scholarship while there. She also spent several years studying Arabic, including a State Department Scholarship to study in Oman one summer.

Lauren was unable to finish her Ph.D. due to illness, but never lost her love of Arabic and the Middle East. This book is her way of continuing to contribute, by sharing what she has learned.
